A carnival-inspired party for bookworms
To celebrate all things literary and showcase authors from all over the country, Hot NOLA Events calls all lovers of books and writing to join us at the Hot NOLA Carnival Author Event. There will be over 50 authors from as far as Alaska who’ll be here to sign their books for their fans and offer insights into their writing processes. The event will be hosted at the VFW 3267 on Hickory Ave in Harahan, LA. The hosts of the event, Julie Henderson, a member of the VFW, and Rachel Rivera, who writes as Gillian Zane, a spouse of a VFW member, wanted to bring the Harahan community a unique event that shines a light on their own passions and also spreads awareness of the VFW and it’s benefits to the community and the veterans of the area. One hundred percent of the raffle proceeds will go to benefit the VFW 3267.
Free to the Public
Our event is free to the public. The doors open at 1 p.m. and there will be food available from a local food vendor, along with specially crafted Carnival-inspired drinks, served up by the VFW. VIP tickets are available for early entry and a swag bag stuffed full of book nerd goodies.
